Anthropologischer Anzeiger is an international journal of human biology and publishes original research papers on all fields of human biological research. Anthropologischer Anzeiger is available online (www.schweizerbart.de/journals/anthranz), papers must be submitted online (https://www.schweizerbart.de/submit/anthranz). Anthropologischer Anzeiger welcomes and encourages submission of papers and case studies, reviews, technical notes and short reports particularly on the following topics: • Growth and development: studies on pre- and postnatal growth, with particular interest in aspects of health prevention, psycho-social, socio-economic, and environmental factors, which influence child and adolescent growth and maturation • Population genetics: geographical distribution of serological and biochemical markers and morphological and physiological traits. • Hominid evolution, palaeoanthropology, historical and forensic anthropology: studies on a DNA, osteology, demography, morphology, biomechanics, isotopes, palaeopathology, archaeology and pathology.

Each racial and ethnic population has their own nasal characteristics, which need to be considered when planning rhinoplasty surgery. This book is probably the first of its kind in the Indian context highlighting the goal of maintaining ethnic identity congruent with the patient’s facial features and establishing Indian standards for gauging the success of the surgery. This is important as most of the rhinoplasty books have addressed these issues of the Caucasian or southeast Asian population and Caucasian normative standards of facial analysis.
