The so-called 'digital revolution' and the economic and social transformations of the last decades have also involved university education, requiring not only some aspects of traditional lectures to adapt, but also several on-line teaching projects to be launched. A recent aspect of this process, started by North American university institutions such as Stanford, Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is represented by the worldwide offer of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), which have no limit concerning the number of participants. and do not require a binding and expensive registration. Using international literature on the subject, this study analyses the origins and evolution of this new system of university teaching.

Nowadays, more and more digital technologies are used in education. And it has been changing the way of teaching and makes the class become more flexible and interactive. These changes are enabling educators to have a more diverse set of pedagogical approaches to support their learners, which means that they can be more inclusive in their teaching methods. With this end in view, 2018 2nd International Conference on Digital Technology in Education was held once again this year in Bangkok, Thailand during October 10-12, 2018.

Die Studie bietet einen Einblick in die wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Gegebenheiten einer Bergregion in den westlichen Dolomiten, wo der Holzverkauf für das Auskommen der Bevölkerung wichtig war. Die Nähe zur Stadt Bozen ermöglichte den Verkauf von Brenn- und Weinbauholz, was Stadt und Umland in eine enge wirtschaftliche Beziehung zueinander rückte. Im Laufe des 16. Jahrhunderts bahnten sich Veränderungen durch die Territorialisierung, die zunehmende Schriftlichkeit sowie die steigende Nachfrage Venedigs nach Bauholz an. Der Holzmarkt nahm überregionalen Charakter an, was zur Folge hatte, dass auch gesellschaftliche Interessenskonflikte nicht ausblieben. Veränderte Nutzungsformen und Nutzungsrechte kristallisierten sich heraus, allerdings nicht immer zur Zufriedenheit der Beteiligten. Dank der gegenseitigen Abhängigkeit und schwierigen logistischen Bedingungen blieb eine völlige Ausbeutung der Ressource aus.
