Die Nordrhein-Westfälische Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Künste ist eine Vereinigung der führenden Forscherinnen und Forscher des Landes. Sie wurde 1970 als Nachfolgeeinrichtung der Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Forschung des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen gegründet.
