Nowadays, lexicographical studies require an interaction with Digital Humanities. This volume presents the genesis and structure of the LBC database, a digital work support tool developed by the Multilanguage Cultural Heritage Lexicon Research Unit under the aegis of the University of Florence, which allows to carry out text research in six different digital corpora (French, English, Italian, Russian, Spanish, German). The authors illustrate the specificities of each corpus in terms of the chosen sources and propose lexicographical and translational uses.

This volume contains the proceedings of the Conference on the Management of collections and co-operation in the hybrid library, which was organised in Florence on 13 October 2005 by the Italian Libraries Association (Tuscan Section and University and Research Committee). The contributions are dedicated in particular to grasping the opportunities and adaptations generated by Internet and the possibility of disseminating electronic documents, both in the development of the collections and the planning of services and in the study of new forms of communication between institutions. Il volume raccoglie gli atti del convegno su Gestione delle raccolte e cooperazione nella biblioteca ibrida, organizzato a Firenze il 13 ottobre 2005 dall'Associazione Italiana Biblioteche (Sezione Toscana e Commissione Università e Ricerca). I contributi sono dedicati in particolare a cogliere le opportunità e le modifiche dovute ad Internet e alla possibilità di diffondere documenti elettronici sia nello sviluppo delle raccolte, sia nella pianificazione dei servizi, sia nello studio di nuove forme di cooperazione fra istituzioni.

In questi anni l’utilizzo del Web ha profondamente trasformato la vita quotidiana di uomini e donne, intervenendo sul vissuto contemporaneo oltre che sulle sue forme di comunicazione. Anche il parlare di “salute” oggi non è possibile se non nella consapevolezza di quanto Internet stia cambiando antropologicamente il presente di chi è malato e di chi cura. Il libro SANITA’ E WEB è la prima indagine realizzata in Italia su quanto il web abbia cambiato i differenti modi di pensare alla salute, tanto da giungere a una sostanziale modificazione della stessa “Alleanza Terapeutica”. I “punti di vista” sono sempre essenziali per una visione d’insieme, per questo nel volume si descrivono, si raccontano e si approfondiscono, attraverso numerose interviste, storia e momenti critici (come il "caso H1N1"), le attese di medici e cittadini, nonché i “punti di vista” delle Istituzioni, delle professioni, del territorio, delle case farmaceutiche, dei media, per ridonare al lettore un quadro complessivo dello stratificato rapporto “sanità & web”. Tentando di indicare dei percorsi per affrontare il futuro in modo più consapevole.
