Abstract

In dit boek staat de dagelijkse praktijk van de docent centraal. In 4 thema's wordt een aantal didactische grondbeginselen behandeld: het leren (bevorderen), een cursus ontwerpen, een cursus uitvoeren, het onderwijs managen en evalueren. Aan de hand van voorbeelden, schema's, modellen en de vaardigheden- en informatiebladen aan het eind van elk thema wordt een directe eerste hulp geboden bij praktische vragen. De auteurs leggen hierbij de nadruk op de verantwoordelijkheid van de student voor het eigen leerproces. Van de docent wordt verwacht dat hij in staat is studenten die kennis en vaardigheden bij te brengen waarnaar ze zelf nooit op zoek zouden gaan, om de eenvoudige reden dat ze zich het bestaan ervan niet realiseren. De docent moet studenten fascineren; daartoe krijgt hij hier vele tips en aanwijzingen.In deze tweede druk wordt niet alleen geschreven over de didactiek in het hoger onderwijs, maar ook 'hot topics' zoals assessment en timemanagement komen aan bod

Abstract

Onderwijs lokt sinds eeuwen heftige discussies uit en is de inspiratiebron voor evenveel geëngageerde bespiegelingen als fundamenteel wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Bovendien belangt onderwijs als complex en gelaagd fenomeen direct of indirect ook heel diverse maatschappelijke actoren aan – leerlingen, leraren, directies, ouders, beleidsmakers, werknemers en werkgevers. Om aan deze actoren een goed of beter begrip van onderwijs te geven en hen te stimuleren tot een proactieve rol , reikt dit boek belangrijke basisinzichten aan vanuit een wetenschappelijk perspectief. Het doet recht aan de complexiteit en de gelaagdheid van onderwijs. Het verheldert zonder te simplificeren. Het biedt denkkaders, onderzoekskaders en standpunten op het niveau van het onderwijsbestel, de school en de klas. Het geeft leraren en bij uitbreiding allen die in onderwijs geïnteresseerd zijn de basis om op en over al deze niveaus zelf te reflecteren, te beslissen en te oordelen.
