This is a problem-solving text for genetics, designed for students. Covering the key topics of first and second year undergraduate courses, it enables students to understand the important principles and develops their abilities in problem-solving and genetic analysis.;Concentrating on biochemical and molecular genetics, the book comprises three main elements: short introductory theory sections; a selection of problems for each key topic; and full solutions. Key topics covered include: gene structure and function, expression and regulation; replication, recombination and mutation of genetic material; recombinant DNA methodology; human genetics; normal and abnormal genotypes; and patterns of inheritance.
