En associant systématiquement données biographiques recueillies auprès d'une centaine de syndicalistes et analyses statistiques de leurs trajectoires, le livre permet de dresser la carte des parcours professionnels, mais aussi militants et familiaux des hommes et des femmes qui sont la chair palpitante des syndicats en Suisse.
