Der vorliegende Band ist Teil einer Ausgabe der Werke des russischen Symbolisten Fedor Kuz'mič Teternikov alias Fedor Sologub, die in russischer Sprache erscheinen soll und die zum Ziel hat, das verstreute und seit dem 1. Weltkrieg nicht mehr repräsentativ publizierte Werk Sologubs in der Originalsprache zugänglich zu machen.

The monograph explores the life, work and legacy of the Austrian writer, director and producer Ernst Lothar (1890–1974) through the analysis of hitherto unpublished correspondence as well as other unpublished writings/documents from his estate, giving ample consideration to the reception of Lothar’s oeuvre. "Die eine Hälfte meines Lebens habe ich meinen erzählenden Schriften, die andere dem Beamtentum und der Kritik, mein ganzes aber dem Theater gewidmet", hält Ernst Lothar (1890-1974) im Alter von 65 Jahren fest. Zwei Weltkriege, Flucht und achtjähriges Exil liegen da bereits hinter ihm, eine gescheiterte Ehe und der Tod seiner beiden Töchter. Den größten Teil des 20. Jahrhunderts aber durchlebte er "inmitten des Theater- und Literaturbetriebs, vielfach in leitender Stellung, immer im Brennpunkt der künstlerischen und geistigen Entscheidungen". Basierend auf der unveröffentlichten Korrespondenz und anderen Materialien aus dem Nachlass werden Leben, Wirken und Werk des österreichischen Autors und Theatermannes vorgestellt, wobei die Rezeption seiner Arbeiten einen breiten Raum einnimmt.

In the 'New Perspective on Paul' the last judgment does not play any decisive role. According to other Pauline scholars, Paul, in his many fragmentary references to a last judgment, did not presuppose a consistent conception of judgment, but instead used different and sometimes contradicting motives in different contexts. Christian Stettler counters these views from a cognitive semantic perspective. Since in frame semantics language is seen as an 'access point' to encyclopaedic cognitive concepts, the author argues that judgement texts are references to a more detailed concept of the last judgement that Paul presupposed in his letters and taught in his churches. Stettler offers a full reconstruction of this concept by a semantic analysis of all relevant passages and through more extensive interpretation of central texts. The result is a reading of Paul that offers a way forward both to New Perspective and traditional confessional readings.

"The influence of censorship on the intellectual and political life in the Habsburg Monarchy during the period under scrutiny can hardly be overstated. This study examines the institutional foundations, operating principles, and results of the censorial activity through analysis of the prohibition lists and examination of the censors themselves. The effects of censorship on the authors, publishers, and booksellers of the time are illustrated with the help of contemporary documents. Numerous case studies focus on individual works forbidden by the censors: Romanticists like Ludwig Tieck and E. T. A. Hoffmann and even authors of classic German literature like Wieland, Goethe, and Schiller saw their works slashed, as did writers of popular French and English novels and plays. An annex documents the most important regulations along with a selection of censorial reports"--
