JLIS, the Italian Journal of Library and Information Science, is an academic journal of international scope that aims to valorize the Italian research in the LIS field, and it welcomes contributions from young students and scholars. The journal board encourages authors (students, researchers, librarians, archivists) to contribute with interdisciplinary or innovative papers, hoping that they can use JLIS as a virtual space for theoretical elaboration on the radical transformations happening to cognitive processes of knowledge fruition, and to professional practices due to digital culture innovations. JLIS.it publishes one volume in two six-monthly issues, in June and December.

Die Zeitschrift Bibliothek und Medien (vormals ABDOS-Mitteilungen) ist das einzige Periodikum, das sich speziell an Osteuropa-Bibliothekarinnen und -Bibliothekare in Europa und den USA wie auch an solche in Ost-, Ostmittel- und Südosteuropa wendet. Sie versammelt ausgewählte Beiträge, Tagungs- (Berichte) und Miszellen aus dem Arbeitsgebiet der ABDOS-Mitglieder und Mitgliedsorganisationen. Besonderer Wert wird auf den Rezensionsteil gelegt. Die Redaktion nimmt Texte in deutscher, englischer und russischer Sprache entgegen.

Il racconto evoca i dialoghi immaginari tra un allievo e il maestro avvenuti dopo la morte di quest'ultimo. Il maestro è Luigi Crocetti, una figura ben nota e indimenticabile nel mondo delle biblioteche: bibliotecario della Biblioteca nazionale di Firenze, studioso e insegnante di biblioteconomia, presidente negli anni '80 dell'Associazione italiana biblioteche. La morte del maestro suscita nell'allievo il desiderio di conversare con lui su alcuni temi legati all'attività delle biblioteche, relativi in particolare alla catalogazione semantica. Nei colloqui, complice l'emozione per la scomparsa del maestro, si insinuano quasi inevitabilmente sentimenti, ricordi, descrizioni di paesaggi, semplici e un po' ingenue riflessioni su alcuni temi della vita. Entrambi questi motivi sono accomunati dall'intenzione di disporre il protagonista del racconto e il lettore ad ascoltare di nuovo la lezione del maestro. Seppure in forma narrativa, il testo ripercorre alcuni passaggi chiave degli scritti di Crocetti e intende anche contribuire alla ricostruzione della sua biografia intellettuale. In appendice, sono riprodotti due saggi dell'autore sul pensiero e l'opera di Luigi Crocetti. Alberto Cheti ha prestato servizio nel Comune di Fucecchio dal 1979 al 2014, prima come direttore della Biblioteca comunale, poi come dirigente del settore Servizi alle persone. Nell'ambito della biblioteconomia, ha svolto attività di studio, ricerca e insegnamento, come membro di gruppi di lavoro, come relatore in convegni e seminari, come docente in corsi di formazione professionale e universitari. Ha pubblicato saggi su temi inerenti all'analisi concettuale dei documenti, all'indicizzazione per soggetto e alle classificazioni. The story evokes an imaginary dialogue between a student and the master, after his death. The master is Luigi Crocetti, a well-known and unforgettable figure in the world of libraries. He was a librarian at the National Central Library of Florence, scholar and teacher of librarianship, president of the Italian Library Association in the 1980s. The master's death arouses in the student the desire to carry on a conversation with him about libraries and in particular about subject cataloguing. In these talks, the proposed themes are accompanied by feelings, memories, descriptions of landscapes, simple and naive reflections about life questions. Both of them intend to dispose the story's protagonist and the reader to listen to the master's lesson again. Although in narrative form, this text reviews some key passages of the Crocetti's writings and also intends to contribute to the reconstruction of his intellectual biography. Some essays by the author about his thought and work are reproduced in the appendix. Alberto Cheti worked at the Municipality of Fucecchio from 1979 to 2014, first as director of the Municipal library, then as manager of the services to people. In the field of librarianship, he has carried out study, research and teaching activities, as a member of working groups, as a speaker at conferences and seminars, as a teacher in professional training and university courses. He has published essays on topics related to the conceptual analysis of documents, subject indexing and library classification.
