Licentiaatsverhandeling in de psychologie. De auteur stelde zich de vraag in hoeverre het in België gold (in 1968) dat het platteland het 'klassieke traditionalistische patroon' vertoonde en in welke mate die traditionele elementen terug te vinden waren in de houding van de jeugd tegenover studie en beroep. Zij heeft hiervoor een onderzoek uitgevoerd bij 19- en 20-jarige landbouwersdochters uit 10 landelijke gemeenten van het arrondissement Eeklo. Er werd gepeild naar hun opvattingen over verder studeren van meisjes, de houding t.o.v. het landbouwersberoep, de beroepen die men verkoos, de planning van het beroepsleven bij niet huwelijk, geschiktheid en ongeschiktheid van de vrouw voor het beroepsleven, e.d. Zeer gedateerd.
