Die wichtigsten Texte zu OMA / Rem Koolhaas The activities of Rem Koolhaas and his staff were widely discussed even before the foundation of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture in 1975. Today, many contributions on the work of OMA can be found in the international architectural press, including Koolhaas' own writings. The book contains about 150 selected texts-interviews, feature articles, essays, lead articles, reviews, letters, introductions, appraisals, and competition reports that have been compiled for the first time. This compilation not only provides a fresh and critical view of the oeuvre of one the most important contemporary architects, but also represents an account of the debate on architectural and urban design in recent decades.

OMA - Office for Metropolitan Architecture - is one of the world's most influential think tanks for architecture and urban planning. With his intellectual approach to architecture, Rem Koolhaas, founding father and Pritzker Award winner, is much more than an international architecture super star. The architecture at OMA is developed in close cooperation with AMO, an associated yet independent design and research studio. Now, as then, the goal is to reconsider architecture, break from conventions, discover new possibilities. The journey is the destination, the architecture a never-ending process of constantly changing conditions and perspectives. This monograph on OMA highlights impressive projects from several years of architectural creativity by describing concepts, techniques and processes. And by presenting one thing above all, numerous architectural details.

The official Biennale catalogue—a global overview of architecture of the last one hundred years. The emphasis of the 2014 Biennale is on architectural history. Each country is asked to narrate its history over the last one hundred years in relation to the idea of modernity. Has national identity been sacrificed on the altar of modernity? This is the issue that the Biennale is called on to address.
