Abstract

O livro é um enfrentamento e uma reflexão crítica sobre diferentes marcadores sociais estruturantes da nossa vida social (racismo, gênero, classe social, educação e saúde, esporte e lazer, entre outros). A obra se constitui de duas partes: na primeira, quatro personalidades que transcendem suas especificidades disciplinares, com reconhecimento nacional e internacional, discorrem sobre os temas e questões sociais fundamentais e uma segunda em que pesquisadores das ciências do esporte trazem o conhecimento avançado de seus grupos de trabalho na tentativa de estimular o pensamento crítico e o engajamento ao pensamento democrático.

Abstract

How has sport education evolved since its reintegration into the Ministry of Education in 1981? One of the objectives of this book is to present a problematised assessment of the transformations of PE by questioning not only the institutional and disciplinary stakes, but also the cultural and epistemological stakes and, finally, the socio-professional dimensions of the choices made over the past forty years.Quelle évolution quantitative et qualitative de l’enseignement de l’éducation physique et sportive (EPS) depuis sa réintégration au ministère de l’Éducation nationale en 1981 ? Un des objectifs de ce nouveau volume de la collection « Sport, acteurs et représentations » est de présenter un bilan problématisé des transformations de l’enseignement de l’EPS en interrogeant les enjeux non seulement institutionnels et disciplinaires, mais aussi culturels et épistémologiques et, enfin, les dimensions socio-professionnelles des choix entrepris depuis quarante ans. Il s’agit notamment de savoir si le retour de l’EPS dans le giron de l’Éducation nationale s’apparente plutôt à une chance ou à une contrainte pour les acteurs de cette discipline considérée comme authentiquement scolaire : comment et dans quelle mesure les enseignements dispensés répondent-ils aux nécessités institutionnelles et/ou à l’évolution des « temps hypermodernes » ?

Abstract

For decades the health of children and adolescents has been a topic of interest in all parts of Europe. And there is quite a consensus that schools are the most appropriate setting to promote health. Childhood and adolescence constitute key stages for learning and adopting a health-related and active lifestyle which includes physical activity and sports. The book describes a new approach to enhance students' health awareness through experimental learning settings in P.E. class, cross-subject teaching, and project work.Teaching health topics requires a pedagogical and didactical framework based on the concept of health literacy and interdisciplinary research discussed by the authors. Teaching examples to improve students' health knowledge, health competencies and skills as well as health behaviour and habits at school implicates a new teaching structure presented in the book.
