Le tai chi chuan (ou Taijiquan) est un art martial qui trouve ses fondements dans la philosophie chinoise et, en particulier, dans les notions de taiji, de dao, de yin et de yang. Réduire le Taijiquan à une pratique gymnique douce tout comme tenter de le rapprocher d'un sport de combat ne permet pas de rendre compte de la richesse de cette discipline. En revanche, se pencher sur l'histoire du Taijiquan, en comprendre les caractéristiques propres, les notions sur lesquelles il se construit, la manière dont il s'enseigne, ouvre la voie à une autre approche. Spirituelle et concrète, cette pratique devient alors un art de vivre autant qu'un art martial, art dans lequel de l'extrême lenteur naît une puissante énergie tournée vers l'intérieur.

L'arbitrage est un mode juridictionnel de règlement des litiges qui, depuis une quinzaine d'année, n'a eu de cesse de se développer en matière sportive. Si, pour les litiges sportifs nationaux, la situation reste contrastée, pour les litiges sportifs internationaux en revanche, elle est limpide : tous ou presque sont désormais résolus par cette véritable " Cour suprême du sport mondial " qu'est devenu le Tribunal arbitral du sport. Simple illustration de la conquête de nouveaux territoires par l'arbitrage ? Non. L'arbitrage des litiges sportifs présente en effet des spécificités qui vont bien au-delà de la seule originalité de son champ d'application. À la différence de l'arbitrage commercial, son fondement n'est pas seulement conventionnel. Il est superficiellement conventionnel et profondément institutionnel, au sens que le doyen Hauriou donnait à ce mot. Il est fondamentalement un arbitrage imposé par les comités olympiques et fédérations sportives, y compris désormais des fédérations longtemps réticentes comme la Fédération internationale de football association ou la Fédération internationale d'athlétisme, aux personnes qui se sont placées dans l'aire d'exercice de leur pouvoir. La fonction de l'arbitrage des litiges sportifs n'est pas uniquement juridictionnelle. Elle est isolément juridictionnelle et globalement jurisprudentielle. À la fonction consistant à dire le droit pour trancher un litige donné, s'ajoute une fonction visant à créer un droit omnisport applicable à tout litige sportif, une " lex sportiva " que l'analyse de centaines de sentence a permis de matérialiser. La désétatisation du droit est ainsi, avec la privatisation de la justice ou bien encore la place de l'ordre public dans la mondialisation, au coeur de la présente thèse

This report calls on policy makers to step up the policy response to increase physical activity. Being physically active is one of the most important things people can do to improve their physical and mental health. It helps prevent a range of non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease and cancer, and improves mental health and cognitive functioning, among other benefits. Nevertheless, too many Europeans are physically inactive. One in three European adults do not meet the WHO physical activity guidelines, and almost half never exercise or play sport. The report describes patterns and trends of insufficient physical activity in Europe. It reviews the detrimental impact that current physical inactivity levels have on population health and health expenditure. The report provides policy makers with options to address insufficient physical activity, drawing on case studies from across Europe.
