Per quanto riguarda la documentazione dei lessemi derivati da nomi propri, anche la pur avanzata lessicografia dell'italiano mostra ancora notevoli lacune. Il Deonomasticon Italicum offre in questo campo una sistematica e commentata ricerca storica. Tramite un intenso ed accurato spoglio di testi storici e contemporanei, che considera anche fonti finora trascurate è possibile riportare datazioni molto recenti e segnalare un gran numero di nuove attestazioni e di varianti formali. La prima parte del dizionario comprende i derivati da nomi geografici (4 volumi), con l'inserimento dell'ambito particolarmente interessante degli etnici, la seconda parte è riservata ai derivati da nomi di persona (2 volumi). L'opera è redatta in lingua italiana. Le sigle bibliografiche sono disponibili in internet (l'indirizzo è http://romanistik.phil.uni-sb.de/schweickard/). Sono disponibili, fino a questo momento, i 6 fascicoli che costituiscono il volume I (1997-2002) e la relativa copertina ed inoltre un "Supplemento bibliografico". A partire da ora il Deonomasticon Italicum non verrá più pubblicato in fascicoli, ma direttamente in volumi rilegati.

This work studies, in the form of a dictionary, all the more than three hundred daily newspapers that between 1900 and 2000 were published in mainland Portugal, Madeira and the Azores. The year or years of publication of the newspapers are indicated, as well as the political trend, format, names of directors, sub-directors, editors-in-chief and administrators, ownership and addresses of the newsrooms and composition and printing workshops. A summary of the life of each newspaper is made and the respective quota is indicated in the main places where it can be consulted: National Library, General Library of the University of Coimbra, Municipal Public Library of Oporto, Municipal Hemeroteca of Lisbon and Municipal Hemeroteca of Coimbra. In the case of newspapers started in the 19th century, a brief summary is given of that period. In addition to a Foreword to the first edition of Dr. Isabel Nobre Vargues and a Presentation Note by Professor Luís Reis Torgal. a study on the History of the Portuguese Daily Press in the 20th Century and an Onomastic Index are included.

Algebraic geometry is one of the most classic subjects of university research in mathematics. It has a very complicated language that makes life very difficult for beginners. This book is a little dictionary of algebraic geometry: for every of the most common words in algebraic geometry, it contains its definition, several references and the statements of the main theorems about that term (without their proofs). Also some terms of other subjects, close to algebraic geometry, have been included. It was born to help beginners that know some basic facts of algebraic geometry, but not every basic fact, to follow seminars and to read papers, by providing them with basic definitions and statements. The form of a dictionary makes it very easy and quick to consult.

Das Wörterbuch basiert auf einem innovativen Konzept, das unter Heranziehung aktueller Forschungen und Erkenntnisse in der Lexikographie entwickelt wurde und das die Vorzüge von ein- und zweisprachigen Wörterbüchern sowie Lernerwörterbüchern verbindet. Jede Bedeutung eines Wortes wird zunächst genau erklärt und anschließend werden Übersetzungsäquivalente angegeben. The dictionary is based on a new concept which takes into account recent developments and findings in lexicographical research. It combines the best features of monolingual and bilingual dictionaries as well as learner dictionaries. Every sense of a word is first fully explained and then provided with translation equivalents. The grammatical behaviour of the words, their construction patterns are described in a language that is clear and easy to understand. Every sense of a word, every construction pattern is illustrated with an example. These example sentences are given in English and German so that the word looked up is shown in actual use and the translation guarantees its understanding and promotes retention.
