Materials Science for Dentistry has established itself as a standard reference for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in dentistry. It provides a fundamental understanding of the materials on which dentistry depends, covering those aspects of structure and chemistry which govern the behaviour and performance of materials in use. Particular materials discussed include gypsum, polymers, acrylic, cements, waxes, porcelain and metals.
