Scientific communication is challenging. In the knowledge-driven economy, individuals and organizations need to look beyond their own boundaries to complement existing resources. Especially in research-intensive fields, effective and efficient knowledge sharing with collaboration partners has become the key to success. The present volume gathers together the talks presented at the colloquim "Future Professional Communication II (FPCA-II)," held at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (Cambridge, MA) on 13-14 April 2010.
