El Manual del Cubípodo® 2015 proporciona unos criterios básicos para el diseño y construcción de diques en talud protegidos con mantos monocapa y bicapa de Cubípodos. Se describen los factores principales a tener en cuenta en la fase de pre-diseño de diques rompeolas en general y de mantos de Cubípodos en particular. La selección de la geometría del elemento de hormigón con el que se forma el manto principal (cubo, Cubípodo®, tetrápodo, etc.) condiciona la logística y colocación (aleatoria, ordenada, etc.), permite o no la construcción en una sola capa, exige una determinada porosidad, proporciona una determinada estabilidad hidráulica y todo ello determina el coste económico y las huellas ambientales. Aunque se realizan algunos comentarios sobre las características de otras piezas, el Manual del Cubípodo® 2015 se centra en el uso del Cubípodo® en los diques en talud convencionales
