The existing parliamentary classifications indicate that researchers of the Atlantic area do not refer in their inquiries to the countries of Southeast Asia and the political solutions adopted there. Therefore, the region in question requires legal and comparative research, particularly in terms of analyzing the adaptation of institutions, their modifications and unique, characteristic solutions. The present monograph is the result of research conducted in the years 2014–2017, aimed at analyzing the functioning of legislative bodies in selected democracies of Southeast Asia. The author elucidates the significance behind the introduction of a bicameral structure of parliament in the countries of this region, breaking her analysis down into several aspects: legal (incorporation of bicameralism in normative acts), functional (changes in the effectiveness of the legislative process and in exercising other prerogatives by the legislature) and political (stabilization of governments, one-party hegemony).

This monograph is a unique, in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the laws that regulate the energy sector in Ukraine as they relate to energy sector regulation of the European Union. This work addresses the contemporary understanding of the concept of sectoral regulation and determines goals (values) and specific legal means (instruments) of regulatory intervention in both, Ukraine and the EU. The author starts with distinguishing the four basic goals of the regulation of the energy sector. The first goal is to implement and support broadly understood principles of economy. The second goal pertains to a broadly understood protection of the interests of consumers (household consumers, including vulnerable consumers) and their social welfare (social goals of regulations). The third goal is to guarantee energy security, and the fourth goal highlights environmental protection and climate action (pro-ecological objectives). The analysis uses the above concepts to assess the regulatory regimes for electricity and natural gas sectors in Ukraine and the EU. The findings indicate that the EU regulation of electricity and natural gas sector recognizes all the relevant regulatory goals. While legal measures (instruments) for the implementation of all important regulatory objectives have been introduced and legally guaranteed in Ukraine, the actual application and implementation of the laws leaves room for improvement.

"Die Frage, ob das BGB den Herausforderungen der Digitalisierung noch gerecht werden kann, steht im Mittelpunkt dieser Publikation. Um dem auf den Grund zu gehen, untersucht der Autor den Begriff »digitale Inhalte«, der seit Umsetzung der Verbraucherrechterichtlinie im BGB zu finden ist. Mithilfe einer Kategorisierung der Erscheinungsformen digitaler Inhalte ordnet er diese vertragstypologisch zu. Mit dem so gefundenen Ergebnis macht der Autor legislative Vorschläge für eine alternative rechtliche Handhabbarkeit. Dabei nimmt er auch den von der Europäischen Kommission vorgelegten Vorschlag für eine spezielle Richtlinie für digitale Inhalte in den Blick und verbindet mit ihm die Zuversicht, dass es sich dabei um ein sinnvolles Update für das BGB handeln könnte.".
