Die nationale Identitat ist eines der wichtigsten Merkmale unserer Gesellschaften. In den letzten Jahrhunderten, aber auch bereits davor entwickelten sich Identitaten verschiedener Gruppen, die sich nach unterschiedlichen Kriterien gestalteten (wie kulturellen und ethnischen Merkmalen). Seit Jahrtausenden haben Menschen nach solchen Kriterien Gruppen und Gemeinschaften gebildet und dadurch ihre Zugehorigkeit und Gruppenidentitat ausgedruckt. In zwolf Beitragen beschaftigen sich ArchaologInnen und HistorikerInnen der Nikolaus-Kopernikus-Universitat Torun mit der Frage nach der ethnischen, nationalen und vornationalen Gruppenidentitat in ausgewahlten Gebieten Polens und Mitteleuropas von der Vorgeschichte bis ins 20. Jahrhundert.

L’utilisation des enquêtes PISA comme outil de régulation des poli­tiques éducatives suscite débats et controverses sur la scène scolaire internationale. Tous les trois ans, PISA évalue les compétences des élèves au terme de leur scolarité obligatoire puis compare les résultats des pays participants dans le but de tirer des conclusions sur leurs sys­tèmes éducatifs et d’identifier d’éventuels facteurs de succès. L’enjeu est de déterminer dans quelle mesure les élèves disposent des connais­sances et des outils nécessaires à leur insertion dans la société moderne et au développement de celle-ci. Suivant le même principe, la Suisse s’est soumise à une enquête PISA supplémentaire à l’échelle nationale afin de disposer de données plus approfondies sur chacun de ses cantons. Nous nous intéresserons à la Suisse romande, où la revendication de l’objectif de promotion de mo­dèles efficaces et équitables peine à faire l’unanimité. Qu’en est-il des cantons du Valais et de Genève en particulier, où les résultats des élèves apparaissent très contrastés ? Cet ouvrage propose une analyse des quatre premières enquêtes PISA dans ces deux cantons afin de déterminer d’où proviennent ces diffé­rences de performance, d’identifier les raisons qui expliquent le scepti­cisme existant au sujet de PISA et d’établir d’éventuelles relations entre les résultats PISA et certaines mesures appliquées au plan des politiques éducatives régionales et cantonales.

Der Band geht auf eine Ringvorlesung an der Universität Paderborn im Sommersemester 2017 zurück. Die versammelten Beiträge gegenwärtiger Fachvertreter*innen unternehmen eine aktuelle Standortbestimmung der Komparatistik. Diskutiert werden vor diesem Hintergrund und anhand paradigmatischer Beispiele (1) die Ausweitung der Literaturwissenschaften - zu denen die Komparatistik seit ihrer Gründung und nach wie vor zu zählen ist - zu den Kulturwissenschaften, (2) Möglichkeiten des Fortbestehens und der Neubegründung komparatistischer Traditionen sowie (3) Konzeptionen des Faches, denen ein transkulturelles Verständnis der - insbesondere europäischen - Literatur und Kultur von der Antike bis zur Gegenwart zugrunde liegt.

OBJECTIF DU TRAVAIL :
Ce travail vise à comparer les différentes techniques diagnostiques d’imagerie de la dysplasie du coude chez le chien, l’objectif final consistant à déterminer la technique d’imagerie idéale en fonction de la lésion associée. Dans ce but, nous décrirons, dans un premier temps, l’anatomie du coude sain puis le concept de dysplasie du coude avec ses lésions primaires et secondaires associées. Dans un second temps, les différentes techniques d’imagerie diagnostiques actuelles seront évaluées et comparées entre elles.
RESUME :
La dysplasie du coude est une entité pathologique importante, tant en médecine humaine qu’en médecine vétérinaire. Elle regroupe quatre lésions primaires : la fragmentation du processus coronoïde médial, l’ostéochondrite disséquante, la non-union du processus anconé et l’incongruence articulaire. Cliniquement, cette pathologie cause une boiterie du ou des membres atteints et évolue généralement vers le développement d’ostéoarthrose si elle n’est pas traitée. En raison de la douleur et du handicap physique qu’elles génèrent, les lésions secondaires comme les ostéophytoses, la sclérose ou l’inflammation chronique réduisent considérablement la qualité de vie des animaux atteints. Le diagnostic peut être difficile à poser, de par la complexité de la zone anatomique et des superpositions osseuses et par le manque d’accessibilité et du coût de certaines techniques d’imagerie. Toutefois, à l’avenir, ces différentes techniques aspirent à une accessibilité plus large. C’est pourquoi une description et une comparaison de ces différentes techniques diagnostiques d’imagerie ont tout leur intérêt dans ce travail. Ainsi, nous aborderons la radiographie, le scanner, l’arthroscopie, l’IRM ou encore l’échographie et la scintigraphie osseuse. En conclusion, il faut retenir que le protocole diagnostic est fonction de la ou des lésions concernées. Toutefois, il apparait qu’indépendamment des lésions et des moyens, un scanner combiné avec une arthroscopie permettent le diagnostic actuel le plus complet possible de dysplasie du coude. AIM OF THE WORK:
There are two major objectives in this bibliographic study. First, it aims to compare the different diagnosis imaging techniques for elbow dysplasia in dogs. Secondly, the final goal is to determine which imaging technique is the most appropriate depending on the lesion. Thus, the entity of elbow dysplasia will be explained with its associated primary and secondary lesions. The various current diagnostic imaging techniques will be evaluated and compared with each other.
SUMMARY:
Elbow dysplasia is a common disease entity with obvious health concern in both human and veterinary medicine. The entity of elbow dysplasia refers to four primary lesions: fragmented coronoid process, osteochondritis dissecans, ununited anconeal process and elbow incongruity. Resulting in lameness in the affected limb(s), this pathology systematically progresses to osteoarthritis if it is not treated appropriately. Painful, disabling secondary lesions like osteophytosis or sclerosis, significantly reduce the quality of life of affected animals, even leading to the need of euthanasia. The diagnosis is difficult, due to the complex anatomical area, bone superpositions, but also due to the lack of accessibility to some imaging techniques and their cost. However, these different imaging tools tend to become more and more widespread. This is why it justifies a description and comparison of the different diagnostic imaging techniques. Radiography, Computerized Tomography-scanner, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Arthroscopy, Ultrasound and Scintigraphy will be discussed in this work. The diagnostic protocol is different depending the lesion(s). However, regardless of the associated lesions and the cost generated, it appears that a CT scan combined with an arthroscopy allows the most accurate diagnosis of elbow dysplasia.

Measuring global poverty requires two types of spatial price adjustments: inter-country price adjustment based on the international purchasing power parities (PPPs) and intra-country price adjustment to account for cost-of-living variations in different parts of a country, especially between urban and rural areas. Current global poverty measurement lacks an adjustment mechanism for this within-country price variation for many countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. This paper highlights the need for matching reference prices with those the International Comparison Program (ICP) uses for PPP calculation to avoid poverty estimation bias, largely because many countries collected 2011 ICP price information only in urban areas. Data from four Sub-Saharan African countries are used to show that potential bias in estimated poverty rates due to such reference price mismatches ranges from 0.3 to 6.2 points in absolute terms. A larger bias is observed in countries where gaps between urban and rural prices are greater. The analysis also shows potentially large bias due to lack of intra-country price adjustments. These potential biases underscore the urgent need for conducting within-country price adjustments and matching purchasing power parity reference prices with country spatial price deflators. An important first step is to identify what reference prices the 2011PPPs used for each country, which currently is not clear. The World Bank, with ongoing relationships with National Statistics Offices, is well positioned to take up this task to improve the accuracy of the methodology for estimating poverty at the global, regional, and national levels.
