Abstract

In Italy, the term ableism is not commonly used in everyday language and is even less present in public debate compared to other forms of discrimination such as sexism or racism. However, ableism manifests very often in our society, generating inequalities, micro-aggressions, and social exclusion. This book presents the first empirical research regarding ableism in Italy, adopting an intersectional perspective on its relations with other forms of discrimination (sexism, classism, racism, etc.). Following the motto “Nothing about us without us”, the research was conducted with a group of people with disabilities. The book has both an educational and scientific purpose. Firstly, it discusses the multiple manifestations of ableism and its consequences theoretically. Secondly, it describes the participatory research process aimed at developing a scale to identify ableist attitudes. Thirdly, it presents the results of a questionnaire on ableism and intersectionality, involving a representative sample of Italian adults. Lastly, it describes the discrimination experienced by people with disabilities in relation to multiple life areas (e.g., mobility, communication, sport, independent living) from the perspective of the research participants.

Abstract

Aktivist*innen aus dem Umfeld der 68er-Bewegung haben gemeinsam mit Fernand Deligny über Jahre hinweg die Wahrnehmungs- und Bewegungsräume von Autist*innen ohne sprachliche Entwicklung mittels einer experimentellen kartografischen Praxis untersucht. Die Karten dienen der Erkundung unbekannter Lebenswelten. Frank Beiler untersucht den ästhetischen und politischen Impetus der kartografischen Praxis und zeigt deren Wirkmacht auf. Dabei legt er dar, wie sich rhizomatische Netze aus Interaktionen und Interferenzen unterschiedlicher Lebensweisen konstituieren und wie ein kollaboratives Miteinander möglich wird.

Abstract

As part of the information and knowledge society, children and adults are both affected by and involved in the digital transformation. The extent to which information and knowledge can actually be accessed, used and shaped by everyone is a question of educational theory and subject didactics. Pupils, teachers, students and trainee teachers must be supported in opening up the possibilities and limits of the information society, in reflecting on them and in recognising and developing options for action, orientation and skills. In the present volume, subject matter teaching in the information society is examined from the perspectives of subject matter didactic reconstruction, media education and informatics education; the question of appropriate locations, media and technologies is also addressed, as are projects in university teacher training and perspective-related approaches. (DIPF/Orig.) Kinder wie Erwachsene als Teil der Informations- und Wissensgesellschaft sind zugleich Betroffene wie Beteiligte der digitalen Transformation. Inwieweit Informationen und Wissen tatsächlich für jeden zugänglich, nutzbar und gestaltbar sind, stellt eine bildungstheoretische sowie fachdidaktische Frage dar. Schüler*innen, Lehrer*innen, Studierende, Lehramtsanwärter*innen sind dabei zu unterstützen, sich Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Informationsgesellschaft zu erschließen, diese zu reflektieren sowie Handlungs-, Orientierungsoptionen und -fähigkeiten zu erkennen und auszubilden. Abstract

This anthology presents successful examples of "research work" by teacher education students. Seminar concepts from the fields of natural sciences, music, educational science, mathematics and art, applied social psychology and the subject of German are presented. The volume is framed by a comprehensive theoretical introduction to the concept of research-based learning and its implementation at Leuphana University Lüneburg. In diesem Sammelband werden gelungene Beispiele von „Forschungsarbeiten“ von Studierenden der Lehrkräftebildung dargestellt.
