Consacré à l'analyse de la transition humanitaire au Cameroun à toutes ses échelles d'action, ce 5ème volume de la collection Devenir Humanitaire est le fruit de la rencontre d'organisations internationales, d'universitaires en sciences sociales, d'ONG nationales, d'acteurs étatiques et territoriaux. Rassemblés à Yaoundé les 14 et 15 novembre 2018 par la Fondation Croix- Rouge française, la Croix-Rouge camerounaise, l'Université catholique d'Afrique centrale et l'Institut de recherche pour le développement, les participants ont ouvert le dialogue sur l'évolution des besoins, les transformations des crises et des réponses humanitaires, les principes qui les guident et les enjeux auxquels chacun doit faire face. À travers des articles, témoignages et entretiens, cet ouvrage offre notamment différentes perspectives sur les crises humanitaires auxquelles le Cameroun est confronté, à travers des analyses issues de différentes disciplines des sciences sociales. Puis, il se focalise sur les acteurs et les pratiques au cœur de la réponse aux besoins des plus vulnérables, en particulier les populations déplacées. Soulignant la nécessité d'un débat plus inclusif et d'une diffusion plus égalitaire des savoirs, ces contributions rassemblées dans ce volume soutiennent une réflexion renouvelée sur le secteur humanitaire avec un partenariat renforcé avec le secteur universitaire au Cameroun et dans le monde

The coup in Myanmar on 1 February 2021 abruptly reversed a decade-long flirtation with economic and political freedoms. The country has since descended into civil war, the people have been plunged back into conflict and poverty, and the state is again characterised by fragility and human insecurity. As the Myanmar people oppose the regime and fight for their rights, the international community must find ways to act in solidarity. There is an urgent need for new policy settings and for practical engagement with local partners and recipient groups. The contributors to After the Coup offer timely insights into ways international actors can try to reduce the suffering of millions of citizens who are again being held hostage by a brutal and self-serving regime. À la suite de l'invasion de l'Ukraine par la Russie en février 2022, des citoyen·nes ont accueilli dans leur foyer des exilé·es ukrainien·nes à la demande du gouvernement belge. Déjà entre 2016 et 2019, des femmes et des hommes, sous l'Impulsion de la Plateforme citoyenne, avalent ouvert leur porte aux exilé·es en transit que la politique inhospitalière de la Belgique ne voulait pas aider. Comment comprendre que l'hébergement des exilé·es soit passé d'une pratique répréhensible, voire criminalisée, en 2016-2019 à un acte d'obéissance aux Injonctions gouvernementales en 2022 ? Existerait-il deux catégories d'exilé·es conduisant à une politique différenciée de l'accueil ? Les auteur·es vont à la rencontre de ces hébergeur·euses pour comprendre la pratique d'hospitalité et interroger le rôle de l'État en période de crise et sa politique d'(in)hospitalité.
