Abstract

The main object of this work is the relationship between non-binary people and institutional communication, the laCer being mostly conceived to represent only two genders, masculine and feminine. Starting from the origin on gendered language in Italian institutional communication, an overview about actual strategies of binary inclusion will be given. Furthermore, the paper will analyse some possible new strategies suggested to implement inclusion in a non-binary perspective. The aim of this paper is to lay the foundation for further work and to improve the development of collective guidelines to write institutional texts able to represent all the complex gender identities that are present in nowadays societies.

« L'avènement de la crise sanitaire a exacerbé la complexité du quotidien des directions d'établissement d'enseignement dont le travail était déjà exigeant sur le plan émotionnel. Ces leaders doivent plus que jamais gérer sainement leurs propres émotions, tout en se préoccupant de celles vécues par les élèves, les parents et leur personnel, et ce, en maintenant la mission de l'école. L'objectif de cet ouvrage est de soutenir les directions dans leur développement professionnel en proposant une réflexion et des pistes d'action sur les émotions vécues en contexte de travail. En plus de s'ancrer dans la littérature actuelle, ce livre se fonde sur une recherche dans laquelle sont étudiées les émotions impliquées dans l'actualisation du leadership des directions d'établissement d'enseignement du Québec. En cohérence avec le vécu de ces gestionnaires, une attention particulière est portée à l'anxiété, la colère et la joie. Les deux phases de cette recherche constituent les principales assises empiriques des propositions pratiques présentes dans ce livre. La première reprend les données collectées par questionnaires auprès d'un vaste échantillon de directions et de membres de leurs personnels. La seconde phase permet d'identifier et d'observer dans le cadre de leur travail réel des directions «exemplaires» ayant de bonnes compétences émotionnelles. Abstract

This book analyzes behavioral distortions in public schools and delineates outcome-based performance measurement systems that can prevent and mitigate them. An instrumental view of dynamic performance management (DPM) is used to support the endeavor by identifying how performance drivers affect end results of outcome and output, how end results affect strategic resources, and how strategic resources and benchmarks define the dynamics of performance drivers. Abstract

This book examines the educational role of three international organizations created as part of the post-World War II multilateral architecture: the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the World Bank, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). These organizations have significantly promoted and shaped education as a fundamental feature of the modernization of society and contributed to the globalization of educational norms, policies and technologies. Drawing on primary source materials and interviews, the book provides novel perspectives to the literature on the global governance of education by focusing on the historical entanglements, relations and power struggles between these three organizations, rather than treating them separately. The study sheds light on the homogenizing effects of globalized educational policy-making and the shifting power dynamics in the global governance of education. ‘This book makes a very distinctive and important contribution to the literature that critically analyses the influence of the global agencies on education globally; it goes beyond the standard discursive analyses of policy texts to also explore the history of those organisations through archival research and in-depth interviews of the key personnel. This book examines practically useful management and people skills, and looks at competencies from the micro, meso, and macro- lens. At the micro- level, the book examines a range of competencies needed for managing oneself and others in a project environment, such as personality style, cognitive skills, communication skills, and emotional intelligence. The book will also includes discussion on strategies for managing emotions of self and others effectively. At the meso- level, the book discusses basic structure, characteristics, and importance of different types of teams such as virtual teams, project teams, domain specific teams, and heavy-weight teams in organizations to enhance productivity and delegate accountability. It also explores team processes, including structure, culture, supporting systems, performance and incentive systems, and their impact on team productivity. In addition, the book includes a discourse on skills to manage a multi-generational workforce (a combination of baby boomers, X and Y generation), a challenge faced by project managers in current scenario.
