These elements generate a variety of technical, social and organizational problems. In this context the Smart City appears as a possible solution to these challenges. In the Smart City Institute's definition of the Smart City, three main objectives are highlighted: The improvement of the quality of life, respect for the environment and economic growth. In this study, we will try to observe the extent to which Smart City projects meet this objective of economic growth of a territory. To do so, we will focus on Smart Mobility projects in the Liège region. The study focuses on two axes, the financial performance of bottom-up initiatives and the influence on the economic en vironment of top-down initiatives. The observed results allow us to draw various observations. The first is that the bottom-up initiatives have been able to find a profitable business model that offers good growth prospects. As far as the impact of the top-down initiatives is concerned, Liège's intelligent mobility policy is currently lagging behind other comparable metropolises and the measures that have already been put in place are too small in scale to have a real impact on the economic environment. However, it would appear that a new dynamic of intelligent mobility integrated into a global mobility policy is being developed. This new impulse could have a stronger positive economic impact in the future. ER -
