In a few lines, they announced their escape from the slavery framework and revealed their desire not to be victims. Drawing on socio-cultural history and American studies, this work proposes to re-evaluate a narrative genre - the small advertisement of flight - and a form of resistance - the flight. It answers two big questions: how to understand and evaluate these thousands of announcements which mentioned the absence, the tricks and the tactics of people enslaved but choosing resistance? What did the act of fleeing mean to them? ER -
