The OECD study investigates the performance of educational systems in the 23 OECD countries, as well as in several non-OECD countries such as Brazil or China. Due to the indicators developed by the OECD the educational levels and conditions for education become comparable in the participating countries. The study gives some indication of who participates in education, how much money is spent, how educational systems operate and which results they achieve. In the current edition of 2013 new indicators offer information about the relationship between educational attainment and employment as well as the connection between education and health performance in the participating countries.
