Cet ouvrage étudie en détail le récit du chemin de la croix chez Luc et la question de l’intertextualité. L’auteur essaie de répondre à la question suivante : qu’est-ce que Luc veut communiquer à travers ce récit apparemment riche ? Il donne ici une vue synthétique de la problématique, avant de s’engager dans une nouvelle expression du jeu d’intertextualité aboutissant à une conception théologique originale du texte.
