Das künstlerische Schaffen von führenden Kunsthandwerkern wie François-Rupert Carabin und Émile Gallé, aber auch das vom Architekten Jules Lavirotte, dem Bildhauer-Mediziner Paul Richer und der Tanzpionierin Loïe Fuller wird hierfür systematisch wissenschaftlichen Studien zum Tast- und Kraftsinn gegenübergestellt.
