L’Anno Giubilare, preludio alla memoria dei Quattrocento anni del Transito del Fondatore, San Camillo de Lellis (1614), ha offerto all’Ordine da lui fondato una propizia occasione per ricordarlo attraverso un Convegno in cui riflettere su un’epoca importante per la Chiesa e la società intera. Si tratta di un periodo storico segnato da laceranti contraddizioni, dalla disgregazione sociale e – al contempo – da notevoli esperienze religiose, culturali e sociali che, portate avanti da grandi personalità, hanno dato vita al cambiamento culturale che ha aperto le porte all’età moderna. Gli Atti del convegno permettono di intravedere – all’interno di una ricca produzione culturale e artistica a diversa committenza – il filo rosso che lega singole personalità e comunità religiose, aventi tutte come comune denominatore l’Urbe, naturale Capitale di spiritualità, di storia e di arte.
