This book introduces comprehensive fundamentals, numerical simulations and experimental methods of electrification of particulates entrained multiphase flows. The electrifications of two particulate forms, liquid droplets and solid particles, are firstly described together. Liquid droplets can be charged under preset or associated electric fields, while solid particles can be charged through contact. Different charging ways in gas (liquid)-liquid or gas-solid multiphase flows are summarized, including ones that are beneficial to industrial processes, such as electrostatic precipitation, electrostatic spraying, and electrostatic separation, etc., ones harmful for shipping and powder industry, and ones occurring in natural phenomenon, such as wind-blown sand and thunderstorm. This book offers theoretical references to the control and utilization of the charging or charged particulates in multiphase flows as well.

This is a best-seller in China and a geopolitical book for our times. As a leading thinker from China, Zhang Weiwei provides an original, comprehensive and engrossing study on the rise of China and its effective yet controversial model of development, and the book has become a centerpiece of an unfolding debate within China on the nature and future of the world's most populous nation and its possible global impact. China's rise, according to Zhang, is not the rise of an ordinary country, but the rise of a different type of country, a country sui generis, a civilizational state, a new model of

The 4th International Conference on Electronic Engineering and Informatics (EEI 2022), co-organized by Shanghai Jiaotong University and Rai University and AEIC Academic Exchange Information Centre, will be held on June 24-26, 2022 in Guiyang, China. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd conference were successfully held in Nanjing, Lanzhou and Dali, China, respectively, and the conference proceedings have been successfully published by IEEE and JPCS. The EEI conference has gained a good reputation among scientists over the past years and each year attracts more and more participants from different scientific fields, from electrical engineering and informatics. The conference aims to encourage discussion and sharing of knowledge and experience between members of the scientific community, engineers, industry and academia from around the world. Since its inception, the conference has been attended by around 900 participants from academic and higher education institutions and other organisations. We hope that EEI will be an excellent forum for discussion, presenting new ideas and promoting collaborative research.
