Il Dialogus de adoratione si incentra sull'adorazione delle immagini religiose e risulta essere allo stato attuale la prima e unica opera in cui Gianfrancesco Pico della Mirandola abbia esposto in modo articolato la propria posizione in merito alla Riforma. Questo volume offre la trascrizione e la traduzione italiana del Dialogus (composto in latino agli inizi del 1524 e mai pubblicato) in edizione critica, con il corredo di un'ampia introduzione sulle circostanze storiche e su alcuni significativi aspetti relativi alla stesura dell'opera.

La Font de Saint-Yenne, le premier critique d’art (1688-1771). On en connaissait le nom, le rôle historique éminent en tant que prédécesseur de Diderot : c’est désormais l’ensemble de ses œuvres que le présent volume donne à lire. Un homme apparaît qui dit le droit de chacun de parler des œuvres exposées au Salon, des projets d’architecture ou d’urbanisme en cours, mais aussi de la littérature de son temps. Un homme : selon ses propres termes, un « vrai citoyen », dont la voix est toujours singulière lors même qu’il affirme la prééminence des valeurs de la communauté sur l’hédonisme individuel. La langue est souvent rude, le ton parfois apocalyptique, mais le propos toujours juste quand il s’agit d’affirmer la légitimité du jugement personnel dans un monde de l’art en cours d’organisation, où cercles, coteries et autres réseaux commencent à proliférer. Sa proposition de créer un musée national, si elle est la plus célèbre, n’est que l’un des projets énoncés pour faire en sorte qu’un véritable espace commun apparaisse où l’artiste et le spectateur se retrouvent, sans rien aliéner de leur liberté respective. C’est ce lien entre discours éthique, politique et esthétique qui, au travers de la diversité des sujets évoqués, constitue le fil directeur des écrits de La Font de Saint-Yenne – et fait son actualité.
