Long description: Gibt es einen neuen israelbezogenen Antisemitismus? Wo verläuft die rote Linie zwischen legitimer Kritik an israelischer Politik und Antisemitismus? Wer entscheidet über den Ausschluss aus dem öffentlichen Diskurs und dem deutschen Kultur- und Wissenschaftsbetrieb? Wer richtet über strittige Antisemitismusvorwürfe? Biographical note: Karin Wetterau, Jahrgang 1945, studierte Germanistik und Geschichte an den Universitäten Kiel und Berlin. Sie arbeitete zunächst als Lehrerin in der ErzieherInnen-Ausbildung in Berlin, danach viele Jahre als Lehrerin im Zweiten Bildungsweg und an einem Gymnasium in Bielefeld. Seit Anfang der 1990er Jahre war sie an der Fakultät für Soziologie der Universität Bielefeld als Lehrbeauftragte und als Lehrerin im Hochschuldienst in den Lehramtsstudien­gängen Sozialwissenschaften tätig mit den Schwerpunkten Politische Bildung und Geschlechterverhältnisse. Sie lebt in Bielefeld und Italien. Zuletzt erschien von ihr im AISTHESIS VERLAG: 68. Täterkinder und Rebellen. ‚Familienroman‘ einer Revolte (2018).

PEACE AND FAITH: Christian Churches and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, composed of new essays, is the first collection to bring together writers from different faith communities to discuss the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement’s impact on one of the more fractious topics addressed by Christian denominations: the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In so doing, it builds on interfaith projects under way for decades. Theology and politics intermingle in debates taking place in local churches, Christian NGOs, and national church meetings that define official policy. The debates revive and reframe the most basic values of Christianity and the questions church members seek to resolve: How do Christians today hew to the principles Jesus articulated? How can justice be pursued in the context of competing national narratives and historical understandings? What bearing do or should centuries of Christian violence against Jews and Muslims have on contemporary theology and ethics? This volume considers experimental and theoretical dielectric studies of the structure and dynamics of complex systems.  Complex systems constitute an almost universal class of materials including associated liquids, polymers, biomolecules, colloids, porous materials, doped ferroelectric crystals, nanomaterials, etc. These systems are characterized by a new "mesoscopic" length scale, intermediate between molecular and macroscopic. The mesoscopic structures of complex systems typically arise from fluctuations or competing interactions and exhibit a rich variety of static and dynamic behaviour. This growing field is interdisciplinary; it complements solid state and statistical physics, and overlaps considerably with chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, and biology. A common theme in complex systems is that while such materials are disordered on the molecular scale and homogeneous on the macroscopic scale, they usually possess a certain degree of order on an intermediate, or mesoscopic, scale due to the delicate balance of interaction and thermal effects. In the present Volume it is shown how the dielectric spectroscopy studies of complex systems can be applied to determine both their structures and dynamics.
