Abstract

S/Filter includes tools beyond direct synthesis, including a wide variety of both exact and approximate equivalent network transforms, methods for selecting the most desirable out of potentially thousands of synthesized alternatives, and a transform history record that simplifies design attempts requiring iteration. Very few software programs are based on direct synthesis, and the additional features of S/Filter make it a uniquely effective tool for filter design. This resource presents a practical guide to using Genesys software for microwave and RF filter design and synthesis. The focus of the book is common filter design problems and how to use direct synthesis to solve those problems. This book covers the application of S/Filter features to solving important and common filter problems. Both lumped element and distributed filters are discussed, with extensions to dielectric and quartz crystal resonators.

Abstract

This book covers a field of electronics which is very mathematical and which presents difficulties to electronics students at all levels. It aims to provide the reader with enough maths to really understand what electronic filters are, how they work and how to use them. The book assumes a knowledge of mathematics at about GCSE level, and a minimum of electrical and electronic theory. It proceeds by easy stages to describe the structure, action and uses of filters, introducing and explaining the necessary additional maths at each stage. The discussion is backed up by descriptions of

Abstract

The Circuits and Filters Handbook is a high-quality reference book covering all aspects of electrical circuits and filters and involving nearly 100 authors. It is an objective, refereed work of approximately 100 sections, each compiled by an expert on the subject. Each article has been reviewed by another expert to assure its technical accuracy. The Circuits and Filters Handbook presents the most comprehensive coverage ever of circuits and filters from classical to state-of-the-art circuit and filter design. It provides complete coverage of analog and digital circuits and thoroughly analyzes analog and digital filters. The Handbook begins with a comprehensive discussion of basic mathematics for signal processing and circuit and filter design. It investigates the underlying theory and applications of the design of many practical electronic circuits, amplifiers, and oscillators. VLSI circuit design is described. Nonlinear circuits and phenomena are presented in a simple and easy-to-follow manner. Computer solutions and designs are integrated throughout the Handbook, and numerous illustrative examples solve practical problems. The Circuits and Filters Handbook is an invaluable reference, written for the electrical and computer engineering professional who is seeking in-depth information and professionals from other engineering disciplines who want an overview of the entire field or information on one specific aspect of it. The book clarifies and corrects misconceptions, providing a proper understanding of electrical circuit and filter principles and applications. No other handbook offers the extensive coverage found in The Circuits and Filters Handbook.

Abstract

This innovative and in-depth book integrates the well-developed theory and practical applications of one dimensional and multidimensional multirate signal processing. Using a rigorous mathematical framework, it carefully examines the fundamentals of this rapidly growing field. Areas covered include: basic building blocks of multirate signal processing; fundamentals of multidimensional multirate signal processing; multirate filter banks; lossless lattice structures; introduction to wavelet signal processing.Multirate and Wavelet Signal Processing forms the basis for a graduate course
