Eén voor één dagen de auteurs het verwaarlozen van de structurele dimensies van patriarchale machtsrelaties in het huidige ontwikkelingsbeleid en de hiermee samengaande praktijk uit. Ze gaan uit van het algemene falen van dit beleid om de effecten van ongelijke sekse- en genderverhoudingen voor zowel mannen als vrouwen op een adequate manier aan te pakken.
