Abstract

En las últimas décadas, diversos sectores de la comunidad científica iberoamericana y de la sociedad en general han venido constatando la importancia de entender diferentes manifestaciones de la cultura contemporánea desde la estratégica relación entre la comunicación y la educación. Problemáticas como el conflicto generado entre modelos pedagógicos tradicionales y las transformaciones de las nuevas subjetividades, de las identidades, de la familia, de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, forman parte de esos retos de la cultura de nuestros días que pueden ser abordados, en la producción discursiva y en la praxis, a partir de la intersección entre los campos de la comunicación y la educación.

Abstract

This book argues for dynamic and relevant school experiences for primary and early secondary learners that embed digital media production. It proposes a vision of literacy that combines new technologies with multiple modes of meaning-making. Drawing on theories related to cultural studies, media literacy, anthropology, and creativity, the author explores learning strategies with digital media based on an empowering, values-driven framework.
