"L'originalité du présent ouvrage tient en ce qu'il confronte autant qu'il articule les perspectives en matière d'objets et de liens venant de différentes disciplines (sociologie, anthropologie, psychologie...) et selon divers paradigmes théoriques (systémique, psychanalytique, développemental...). Plus encore, cet ouvrage nous propose de considérer ces objets particuliers sous plusieurs angles et dans différents contextes et cultures, qu'il s'agisse, par exemple, des objets rituels Mbwoolu de la culture Yaka ou de diverses unités d'accueil de la petite enfance. Il est l'aboutissement d'un processus de recherche et de collaboration interdisciplinaire de quatre années, transmettant les résultats d'un programme de recherche entamé en 2003 par une équipe de psychologues cliniciens, chercheurs à l'Université catholique de Louvain, sur la place et le sens actuels des premiers objets d'attachement (et des phénomènes associés) pour les enfants, les parents et les professionnels de la petite enfance."--P. 4 of cover.
