Ce livre regroupe les exposés des « Actualités en échographie de l'appareil locomoteur » organisées par le service de Radiologie SISU (Service des Imageries Spécialisées et des Urgences) du GH Pitié-Salpêtrière. C'est le membre supérieur qui, pour une fois, regroupe la majorité des chapitres. Au niveau du coude, le biceps distal est étudié d'une part par l'équipe de Cochin, mais aussi par une association radiochirurgicale normande qui nous détaille l'anatomie et le rôle du Lacertus Fibrosus. L'équipe de la Pitié nous apprend comment individualiser les tendons épicondyliens latéraux et médiaux et Franck Lapègue nous fait découvrir la ténosynovite sténosante de l'extenseur ulnaire du carpe. Michel Crema et l'équipe de l'Insep fait le bilan des entorses de cette articulation du coude dans un autre chapitre. Pour les muscles de voisinage, le grand rond et le grand dorsal sont analysés par Denis Jacob et les lésions du grand pectoral sont détaillées par Wassef Khaled. L'équipe de Bruxelles nous fait découvrir les interconnexions nerveuses du membre supérieur qui nous perturbent souvent. Plus distalement, Lionel Pesquer et l'équipe de Mérignac nous explique comment s'y retrouver dans les muscles de l'avant-bras. Cela aidera bon nombre d'entre nous !! Encore plus distalement, Antoine Moraux nous fait découvrir la pathologie sténosante de l'extenseur commun des doigts. Au niveau du membre inférieur, Anne-Sophie Billard analyse le biceps fémoral de haut en bas. L'équipe d'Amiens nous montre l'intérêt des coupes postérieures après arthroplastie et Sylvain Viltart fait le point sur le conflit entre le tendon du plantaire et le corps du tendon d'Achille. Jeremy Lellouche détaille les différents faisceaux du ligament collatéral médial de la cheville. Fabrice Thévenin montre l'importance du diagnostic du syndrome du deuxième rayon chez le sportif et l'équipe de Besançon celui de l'élastographie en cas d'entorse du plan ligamentaire collatéral latéral. Je pense ne pas être le seul à enfin apprendre l'intérêt du démembrement anatomique des muscles paravertébraux fait par l'équipe de Lille. Sur le plan tumoral, on progressera tous grâce aux chapitres de Raphaël Guillain sur les petites lésions et celui de Thomas Le Coroller sur le pilomatrixome. Et ce n'est pas tout car Gérard Morvan débute ce livre en faisant le point sur les bourses en échographie ; Frédérique Lecouvet nous explique l'intérêt de la technique ultrasonore en cas de corps étranger et Jean-Baptiste Pialat pour l'étude des petits nerfs. Cela nous fait 22 chapitres qui nous montrent que notre échographie de l'appareil locomoteur est en pleine expansion. C'est pour cela qu'elle est passionnante !!! Bonne lecture.
